Studio Guidelines

A complete copy of these guidelines will be sent you upon your request. This information will also detail for you my vast professional experience, formal training and teaching history. Briefly, I expect to see a student a minimum of once weekly. Makeup lessons are given for unavoidable absences. Missed lessons are not “dropped,” but made up. More detailed information about studio rules will be sent to when you contact me.

No contracts are necessary with me. I will be fair and expect that of my students. I want a student to want to work with me. Therefore, I suggest scheduling a trial lesson so the student and parent (if applicable) see what study with me is like. Be assured that I am the one on trial, not the student. You can take one lesson and tell me later if you wish to continue or not. This is usually about 90 minutes long, or longer, time permitting. You will get an honest and frank evaluation and I am very careful not to hurt any feelings. My job is to build the voice, but also the self esteem and confidence of the student. When appropriate, I give the evaluation after the lesson by telephone.

Limited partial scholarships are available on a need/talent basis. This can be discussed within the first trial lesson.
